Fred Auzenne- Do you have any tips for aspiring business leaders out there? What did you learn in your journey to becoming a successful business leader?

I went to a business school that helped me become grounded in the fundamentals. It was very general, so I didn’t learn any particular software or coding language says Fred Auzenne. If you want to be a good business person, you have to get a broad understanding of how things work and how people work. Then, once you come out of a place like Purdue where they teach you the broader concepts when you’re an intern at Facebook and your boss tells you to go do something, it’s up to you specifically what she wants to be done, but I know what he means when he says “go find this problem,” for example. You can write code much better because it’s more abstracted, and then go understand what kind of people we need in order to make this product. So there are a lot of things I had to learn on the job, and that’s what I would recommend to other business leaders to get a broad understanding first and then specialize. Another thing that was really important for me was networking and building relationships with people. People often say it’s not what you know but who you know, and… Read More »Fred Auzenne- Do you have any tips for aspiring business leaders out there? Fred Auzenne: Do you believe that there is such a thing as business karma? Why do you think so? What are some of the experiences that made you believe in business karma?

I think there’s a good way of looking at business.  I meet a lot of entrepreneurs and very often you realize that people are doing what they’re doing to the level they’re doing it because somebody helped them along the way says Fred Auzenne. And you can see, if somebody doesn’t help somebody else, then that person is going to be held back in their progress because they need that kind of support or that software product or whatever it might be. That was one of my reasons for writing Traction. It’s really to try and give something back; to help other entrepreneurs out with some tricks and tips on how to grow their companies. Some of the most profound business lessons I have learned came from insights based on my personal life experiences. Mind you, sharing life tips with you is not my primary objective here but these are some of the best business tricks that I know off! I believe in the power of karma simply because it plays a huge role explains Fred Auzenne. Not just in your life but it also plays a major role in the bigger picture. In business, I’ve seen quite a handful… Read More »Fred Auzenne: Do you believe that there is such a thing as business karma? Why do you think so? Fred Auzenne- Why do you think a lot of people who aspire to leadership positions fail when they get the opportunity but others succeed even though they have no experience?

There are many reasons why people who aspire to leadership positions may fail when they get the opportunity says Fred Auzenne. Some people may not have the necessary skills or experience, while others may not be able to effectively manage their teams. Additionally, some leaders may become too focused on themselves and their own agendas, instead of focusing on the needs of their team members. Finally, some leaders may simply be in the wrong role, and they would be more successful in a different position. However, there are also many people who succeed as leaders even though they have no experience. In some cases, these individuals may be very good at taking direction and following instructions, and they may not need any other training or experience. Additionally, some leaders may be very effective at managing their teams and inspiring others to work together towards a common goal. Finally, some leaders may simply be in the right role, and they would not be successful in any other position. So, why do some people succeed as leaders even though they have no experience, while others fail? There are many factors that contribute to success or failure as a leader, and it is… Read More »Fred Auzenne- Why do you think a lot of people who aspire to leadership positions fail when they get the opportunity but others succeed even though they have no experience?

Fred Auzenne- What was your biggest learning experience as a leader, and how would you share the lessons learned with others who are gearing up to take on greater responsibilities in their work or personal lives?

I think one of the biggest learning experiences I had as a leader was when I was promoted to manager says, Fred Auzenne. I was given a team of people to lead and manage, and it was a completely new experience for me. I didn’t have any previous experience in managing people, so I had to learn on the job. I made a lot of mistakes early on, but I learnt from them and eventually became a successful manager. If you’re someone who is gearing up to take on greater responsibilities in your work or personal life, here are some of the lessons that I learned: 1. Be patient and don’t try to do everything yourself – When you’re promoted to a leadership position, it can be tempting to try and do everything yourself. But this is a recipe for disaster. You can’t possibly do everything yourself, so you need to be patient and delegate tasks to your team. This will help you to manage your time better and ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently. 2. Encourage your team to give feedback – One of the best ways to improve your leadership skills is to encourage your team to… Read More »Fred Auzenne- What was your biggest learning experience as a leader, and how would you share the lessons learned with others who are gearing up to take on greater responsibilities in their work or personal lives?

Fred Auzenne: What is your favorite business book? Why? Can you recommend it to me? What was the biggest takeaway from the book for you?

I absolutely love The Lean Startup by Eric Ries. I think the biggest takeaway for me was the importance of continuous innovation and iteration in order to stay ahead of the competition. Also, I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is interested in starting their own business or wants to learn more about how businesses operate says Fred Auzenne. My favorite business book is The Lean Startup by Eric Ries. I love it because it teaches you how to build a successful business in a lean way, which is essential for any startup. It’s also a very easy read, which makes it perfect for busy entrepreneurs. The biggest take away from the book for me was the importance of validated learning, which is basically the process of learning as quickly as possible what works and what doesn’t in your business. This is done by testing your assumptions and hypotheses in a very scientific way and using the feedback to make decisions about how to move forward. I think validated learning is something that all entrepreneurs should embrace, as it can help them avoid costly mistakes. If you’re interested in reading The Lean Startup, I would highly recommend it. It’s… Read More »Fred Auzenne: What is your favorite business book? Why? Can you recommend it to me? Every company combines a diverse workforce – by different, it means various personalities and uniqueness. The effectiveness of HR policies largely depends on individual behaviors, and it is typical for every business. The department manager’s responsibility is to figure out means and ways to bring the optimum performance from each one. Fred Auzenne (Arizona-based business leader)explains that every company uses workforce analytics as the foundation to assess the seven key personality types. Let us now unfold the different traits of all the seven to understand their importance in the business: The Solo or wallflower:The introvert types who prefer working alone and not in a team or groups are the solo artists or wallflowers. You can spot them on quiet corners of the office with very minimum distractions around. These personalities are hardworking and may or may not be great leaders. You cannot find them in social gatherings or very rarely near the coffee machine. As an HR exercise, you can involve them in small team-building activities to bring the hidden ideas and opinions out of them. The social extroverts or campaigners: The opposite of wallflower, these are incredibly outgoing and love being around other employees. You can spot them in all… Read More »Fred Auzenne explains that workforce diversity equates to workforce diligence
